  • 1st and 2nd place finishers receive team trophy plaque and individual medals in each age group

  • $650 team entry fee
  • Teams each pay 1 umpire at home plate meeting
  • May 1 Age cutoff

LG Summer Invitational Tournament Rules

All games 10-12u games are scheduled 6 innings, 7 innings  for 13u

Field Dimensions: 10u-12u -- 50 foot mound distance, 70 foot bases, with leading and stealing. 13u 60/90


  • 10u and 11u USA or USSSA Stamped bats
  • 12u WOOD- ONE PIECE WOOD BATS ONLY. No Composite Wood Bats allowed
  • 13u USA or USSSA Stamped Metal Bats


1. No pitching restrictions (Coaches need to use good common sense to ensure the health of their players)  NFHS Rules on visits.

2. Any pitcher may not re-enter to pitch in the same game

3. Home team determined by coin flip, and home team is official scorer. Visiting team should check each inning on score. In championship play, the home team shall be the higher seed. During championship play and consolation games, the higher ranked team shall be the home team.  

4. Courtesy runner with 2 outs for pitcher/catcher.  Can’t have same courtesy runner in same inning. Courtesy runner must be a bench player. If not available, then the player who made the last out shall be the courtesy runner.  

5. Mercy Rules for the divisions: 11 and 12u--15 run mercy after 3 innings, 10 run mercy rule after 4 innings, 8 run mercy rule after 5 innings. If winning team is home team and have won by the mercy rule before the start of the bottom half of that particular inning, they shall not hit. If winning team is the visitor, and reaches the mercy rule margin in the top half of the inning, the losing/home team shall have the opportunity to hit in the bottom half of that inning.

13u mercy is 15 after 4, 10 after 5, 8 after 6.

6. Free substitution and DH allowed for any position player. A team may use as many EH’s as they would like, but if that player is removed from the game for any reason, when his spot comes up in the order, it shall be deemed an out.  

7. Time Limits

In the 11u, and 12u division, during pool play and consolation play, no new inning can start after one hour and 45​ minutes. In the LG Tournament championship bracket round, no new inning can start after 1 hour and 45 minutes and championship game has no time limit. 13u is 1 hour and 50 minutes during pool play and consolation play, no new inning can start after one hour and 50​ minutes. In the 13u championship/playoff round, no new inning can start after 1 hour and 50 minutes. 

8. Pool play and consolation games can have ties.  

9. NFHS rules apply in any and all sliding situations unless specified otherwise below.  A runner may slide or run in a direction away from the fielder to avoid making contact or altering the play of the fielder.  

If contact is deemed malicious by the umpire, the player will be ejected for that game and the next game.   Head first sliding is legal into any base.

10. Seeding and Tie breakers from Pool Play

  • Overall Record used first
  • Head to Head 
  • Pool play runs allowed
  • Pool play run differential
  • Pool play runs scored

If two teams are tied – The head to head winner in that matchup advances.

If three teams are tied – If one team has defeated the other two teams, that team advances. If not go to #3.

  • Pool play runs allowed

  • Pool play runs scored

12. The tournament shall provide all baseballs for the game. In the unlikely event we are short baseballs, you will be reimbursed for any baseball you provide.  

13. Immediately after the game, coaches shall please give the site director the score of the game.  

14. Otherwise, National Federation of High School Rules apply.  

15. Failure of a team to show up at game time shall result in a forfeit. 10 minute grace period allowed. Exceptions must be approved by tournament director.  

16. Rosters are open, with May 1 Age cutoff, however an opposing manager may request a copy of a birth certificate of an opposing player to verify age.

17. Pregame infield or outfield is allowed in the outfield for fly balls and in the 3/4 hole on first base side and 5/6 hole for ground balls on 3rd base side. Batting cages outside of field may be shared evenly

​ if available.  Between games the outfield may be used for warm-ups. If teams cannot agree how to share the batting cages, no team shall use the cages. Subject to site director's decision.  

18. Tournament Director has final say on all rulings.  

19. Refunds- No cash refunds, a credit for future tournaments will be provided as follows: In a three    guarantee event, if three  games have been started there shall be no credit given. If two games have been started, a credit of 25% will be given. If only one game has been started, a credit of 50% shall be given. If no game is started, an administrative charge of $100.00 will be applied, and a credit given for the balance.

20. A team may protest a rule call only, not a judgement call. A cash protest bond of $150.00 must be given to the site director at that time. The game clock shall stop until the site director, makes the final decision. If protest is denied, the cash bond shall be forfeited. 

21​. Catchers may wear a hockey style helmet or a separate mask-helmet combination.  

22. If a coach is ejected from a game, he CANNOT coach in the next game.

23. Any contact with an umpire by a player or coach will result in ejection from the entire tournament.

24. Fake Bunt Rule (Slash Bunt) -- A batter may not fake bunt and then take a full swing on the same pitch or the batter will be called out, runners will return to the base they previously occupied and scorebook will show this as put out by the catcher.

25. Intentional Walks -- Intentional Base on Balls can be awarded to the batter at any time during their time at-bat. The pitcher is not required to deliver the remaining pitches, nor will they count against their pitch count.

26. If a playoff game at the time conclusion (1:45 11u &12u and 1:50 for 13u) ) is tied or after all innings have been completed is tied, the "California" tie breaker rule will go into effect. Each team puts the batter who is scheduled to bat last in that respective half of the inning on second base and plays out a full inning. This happens until the tie is broken and the game is complete. The Lake George Championship bracket final game in each division has no time limit.


13u BAT RULES

  • Any stamped BBCOR, USA or USSSA bats are allowed
  • Drop 3 to drop 8
  • Drop 3 MUST be BBCOR

12u WOOD Bat Rules

  • One Piece Wood Bats Only- NO COMPOSITE BATS

10u-11u BAT RULES

  • Any stamped USA or USSSA bats are allowed
  • Barrel size 2 1/4, 2 5/8 or 2 3/4
  • No drop 3/BBCOR bats in 10u/11u
  • No bat greater than 32 inches
